The IDEAL 6660 is a new, compact programmable guillotine with an ergonomic working height, Electro-mechanical blade and clamp drive. It also features an electric back gauge drive with touch pad for easy setting and multilingual operator guidance with a digital display. The measurement readout is displayed in either cm or inches (display accurate to 1/10 mm or 1/100 inch). You can add up to 99 programs with 99 steps in each program (up to 15 repeat cuts can be integrated into a program as one single program step). The 5260 also has a 10-button key pad for presetting the measurement that includes pre-programmed measurements for A3 to A6 standard paper sizes. A memory key also exists for repeat cuts and a SET function key for reference measurement. There is also a programmable EJECT function for pushing out the paper.
The IDEAL 6660 also features an electronic hand wheel for manual backgauge positioning with infinitely variable speed control (from very slow to very fast) as well as an optical cutting line with bright and durable LEDs. Convenient two-hand operation is also possible via patented two-step blade activating bars with separate trigger points for the blade and clamp. A self-diagnostic system with error indication on the display helps with trouble shooting and the clamp is guided on both sides for evenly distributed clamping pressure. The 5260 has a spindle guided backgauge for precise positioning, an adjustable backgauge with narrow separations and plastic gliders. The two side lays each on front and rear tables.
The blade is made of high-quality German steel and also features a solid steel blade carrier and adjustable blade guides. A comprehensive SCS safety package includes and IR light beam safety curtain on the front table; a transparent safety cover on the rear table; a main switch and safety lock with a key; an electronically controlled true two-hand operation; a 24 volt controls (low voltage) and a patented IDEAL safety drive.
The IDEAL 6660 also has an automatic blade and clamp return from every position and a disc brake for instant blade stop. The blade can be changed from the front of the machine without removing any covers and with the cutting edge being covered. It is also possible to adjust the blade depth on the outside of the machine. Other features include a solid all-metal construction a stand and storage shelf and a practical hook-in tool holder on the back of the table.
